Wonderland: a registered Hanoverian (Hanoverian Horse Society of Australia) with unlimited potential for either a showjumper or dressage horse.
When schooling on the flat he shows three excellent gaits that include a mouth watering trot and a highly promising canter.
Over fences he demonstrates an athletic and scopey leap that will only get better as he progresses up the showjumping levels.
At home I am currently schooling Wonderland up to medium level dressage including movements such as shoulder-in, half-pass, counter canter and flying-changes.
These movements have really developed his ability to collect and extend his strides in both trot and canter.
This horse could turn his hand competition dressage in a very short space of time.
The established flatwork is really empowering his jump and has easily cleared fences up to 1.30m.
At shows I have jumped him in classes up to 1.15m, but hope to take further up the levels in the near future.
Beautifully put together as a result of superb bloodlines on both Sire and Dam lines by Belgian Warmblood Stallion
Rituel
out of Remi Gucci.
Originally bred in Queensland, Australia, by Mr Peter Varley of Kureelpa Park Stud, before coming here to New Zealand as a four year old.
Rosco (his stable name) has a real passion for life.
Nothing dampens his enthusiasm and this includes a very healthy Hanoverian appetite.
Wonderland has recently been sold to Christine and David Bullock to be a hunter.
Here are two videos of Wonderland Schooling at home.
The first video shows him in a showjumping lesson with john Cottle
The second video shows him being schooled in dressage
